Albany Comercial Developments

Strategic development planning and resource consents within Albany's new sub regional centre.

The establishment of the Albany sub regional centre (within North Shore City) has commenced with the Business 11 zoning being recently ratified by the Environment Court. This Centre provides for mixed use commercial development to serve the future needs of the northern sector of the City. The majority of this land is owned by Albany City Holdings Ltd. Cherie was engaged by both ACHL and Symphony Property Management Ltd, as their principle planning advisor in respect of their land interests in Albany.

In this role, Cherie is a member of the various ACHL /Symphony project groups scoping and initiating development proposals within Albany Centre. To date this has included presentation of planning evidence for the successful consent of a two tower residential high rise complex (Don McKinnon Drive); the preparation of an Assessment of Environmental Effects (AEE) report and co-ordination of associated application material for the resource consent of the bulk retail (Mitre 10/commercial centre (Oteha Valley Rd); AEE preparation and subsequent consultation with relevant Council staff in the assessment and consenting of a 228 unit retirement complex (Don McKinnon Drive); and AEE preparation and consenting for an office development (Corinthian Drive).

Cherie continues to provide planning services to ACHL/Symphony in the development of their landholdings within Albany Centre.
